Chemical Found in Food Linked to DIABETES

BPA Linked to Diabetes -- Again! We have all finally eliminated fructose from our diets, just as we have learned that high fructose corn syrup has been linked to obesity, diabetes, and heart disease, not to mention liver damage. (By the way I am proud to announce that Healthmasters.com is now a fructose and soy free company.)

We finally have a handle on diabetes. A new study is released linking diabetes to plastic wrap containing BPA. By the way, we have already figured out that no one needs help getting diabetes, but you're getting it anyway with every bite, sip, and swallow from plastic wrapped products. It's from Bisphenol A, or BPA, the hormone-like chemical that seeps into your food whenever it's stored, served, or cooked in plastic containers especially when you use a microwave or allow food to get hot in plastic.

This is why I don’t buy water from the grocery store stored in plastic containers. This poison has been linked to diabetes plenty of times before, but the latest evidence is some of the worst yet: Urine samples on some 4,000 people showed that when BPA levels are high, so are the odds of diabetes. Even after adjusting for all the usual risk factors, like age and weight, the people with the highest urine levels of BPA were much more likely to be diabetic than those with the lowest levels of BPA.

Now, I have no doubt BPA is playing a role here. This chemical is a known endocrine disruptor, and diabetes in many cases is a disease of the endocrine system. Of course the FDA knows this information, but they are too busy trying to take our vitamins away. (By the way, to this point, I have not heard any news about their final decision to start banning supplements. I can only suggest that you stock up now!) However, the continued use of BPA is only part of the problem.

Diabetes is a disease you earn, something you work hard to get after years or even decades of bad habits... or what I call "following U.S. government guidelines." That’s right, keep eating all those high glycemic carbs and continue to follow that food pyramid, if you really want to increase your chances of diabetes. Plus make sure you listen to all the propaganda from the corn syrup manufacturers telling you how good fructose is and you can start having some real health issues.

Those habits bring you to the brink... and BPA will give you a shove right over the edge. Trust me it’s a long way down on that ledge. And that's not the only way it can "help." This stuff has been caught lurking in the shadows behind heart disease, obesity, sexual dysfunction and more... always ready to help you over the edge to destroy your health.

Yet the chemicals industry keeps insisting that it's safe, and the feds keep listening to them, because they STILL refuse to ban or even regulate this stuff despite admitting that there's cause for "concern." "Concern" yea right, every day they're "concerned" is a day you're taking more risks due to their inaction. Stop waiting for them and do what you can to save yourself, and that means swearing off ANYTHING that comes in a plastic container.

The best foods don't need plastic packaging anyway, such as fresh vegetables or meat that comes wrapped in paper from the organic meat counter.
