Regeneration and Resveratrol Plus: A Review of Ingredients

I would consider Healthmasters’ Regeneration and Resveratrol Plus products to be sister products, meaning they work well and synergistically together. They both have collective actions and support complementary functions in the body even though they are different products with separate ingredients.

Healthmasters’ Regeneration product was developed to support healthy hair, skin, and nails, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and promote connective tissue formation for healthy joints. All of these actions stem from one point: collagen production.

Healthmasters’ Resveratrol Plus product was developed to produce changes associated with longer a longer lifespan, and support cardiovascular and neurological health. All of these actions stem from one point: antioxidant support.

From a macro-level, both these products, Healthmasters’ Regeneration and Resveratrol Plus, support aspects of anti-aging, but at a deeper level, they target specific elements.

In this article, we will review the formulations of these specific products and why the ingredients were chosen.*

Healthmasters’ Regeneration

The main ingredients in Healthmasters’ Regeneration product are choline and silicon.

Silicon is an omnipresent constituent in the human body because it is present everywhere. Silicon plays a vital role in the formation of organic material, such as collagen and glycosaminoglycan [any group of compounds occurring chiefly as components of connective tissue]. In the human diet, silicon is mainly consumed in grains, but because gains are more heavily processed than ever, there are lower levels of silicon in today’s diet.

Also, water-soluble silicon is present in certain beverages and water as orthosilicic acid (OSA); however, in that form, silicon is very unstable and difficult to absorb. Therefore, researchers have developed choline stabilization technology. When stabilized, choline can be absorbed optimally. Thus, we have the form in this product: choline-stabilized orthosilicic acid (ch-OSA).

Therefore, ch-OSA facilitates choline and silicon supplementation through a combined, stable form.

The formulation of ch-OSA has been clinically proven to be absorbable [1] [2] [3] [4].

ch-OSA helps to support the body’s natural beauty proteins: collagen, elastin, and keratin.

Collagen is the body’s main structural protein and makes up 70% of skin and gives it its strength and elasticity. Collagen constitutes 30% of bones and gives them their flexibility so that they can withstand impact. Also, collagen fibers in the bone are binding sites for calcium and other bone minerals [5].

Collagen is also the main component in tendons, ligaments, and cartilage; however, collagen production begins to decline after the age of eighteen, and at the age of forty, the decrease is about 1% per year [6]. At this age, the 1% yearly loss means women lose about 7% or their skin’s thickness every ten years, and after menopause, this accelerates 1.13% annually, while skin elasticity decreases 0.55% yearly [6] [7] [8].

Decades of research investigating the potential of OSA as a potential collagen generator lead to the development of ch-OSA. Not only does ch-OSA promote collagen production, but it also promoted keratin and elastin formation, which are two proteins that assist skin elasticity and hair strength [2] [3] [4].

In 2005, researchers investigated the effects of ch-OSA on skin, nails, and hair in women with photodamaged skin [skin that has had extensive exposure to sunlight] [2]. In this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, researchers noted some positive results.

First, the women experienced a significant improvement in skin elasticity, with a 19% reduction in skin roughness and micro-wrinkles depth, when compared to the placebo group [2]. Second, women’s hair and nails showed significant improvements in strength [2]. Finally, the women’s serum [blood] levels of silicon were 72% higher than the placebo group [2].

In a 2007 nine-month, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, clinical trial, researchers found that ch-OSA supplementation improved hair tensile strength, hair elasticity, and increased hair break load, resulting in thicker hair [3].

In 2008, researchers at a London hospital found that ch-OSA supplemented with calcium and D3 saw an increase in thighbone mineral density, resulting from increased bone formation [4].

Additional studies have supported the clinical application and success of ch-OSA [9] [10] [11].

Healthmasters’ Resveratrol Plus

As previously noted, Healthmasters’ Resveratrol Plus product was developed to provide the body with powerful antioxidant support, produce changes associated with longer a longer lifespan, and support cardiovascular and neurological health.

Healthmasters’ Resveratrol Plus has three main ingredients: quercetin, trans-Resveratrol, and trans-Pterostilbene. We will review the scientifically backed, clinical applications of these ingredients.

Quercetin is one of the most potent antioxidants known to humankind, and numerous studies note its capabilities [12] [13] [14] [15]. However, while by itself, quercetin is a potent antioxidant, but when combined with resveratrol, there is a synergistic effect [16] [17] [18].

Pterostilbene is a polyphenol, another type of antioxidant. Studies have shown that pterostilbene has a beneficial role in cancer treatment, inflammation reduction, and oxidative stress [19-33].

Resveratrol is also a type of antioxidant, and over 100 peer-reviewed, published studies have confirmed the compound’s positive effects on oxidative stress, inflammation, and obesity [34-36].

These three ingredients have been thoroughly examined and have demonstrated to have profound anti-aging effects. The specific chemical mechanisms behind their results are very deep-level science, so if you would like to read exactly how they work, view Healthmasters’ Resveratrol Plus’s.

Conclusion

Even though both these products have different, specific, anti-aging actions, I would consider them complementary to each other.

Healthmasters’ Regeneration product provides the body with the necessary nutrients for healthy skin, hair, and nail growth, and Healthmasters’ Resveratrol Plus product provides the body with three, potent antioxidants that work together synergistically.
